  • Should I be ready for chilly evenings?
Temperatures are pretty mild and pleasant this time of the year, but can go down to 21°C, so perhaps bring a sweater, a windbreaker, or a shawl.
  • When should we arrive on the island?
The celebration will start at 17:00 on Saturday 27th, so you should plan to be there a few hours before at the latest. However, we are organizing a couple of activities for the Thursday, Friday, and Sunday, so you might want to spend some more time in Elba and enjoy the place if you have never visited before. See this Things To Do and Events for additional information.
  • Is there a dress code?
The celebration will be beachfront in September. Wear what you feel comfortable in and that fits a summertime wedding.
  • What about kids?
We will organize a kid's corner for the wedding reception, so you can relax and have a good time knowing that your kids are not alone and are cared for.
  • I am vegetarian, will there be food for me?
Absolutely! Just make sure you specify your dietary restriction in the RSVP form we sent last year so we keep track of it and communicate to the venue.
  • I am allergic to some types of food, who should I tell this to?
Please make sure you specify your dietary requirements in terms of allergies or intolerances in the form we sent for RSVP.
  • Will you be accommodating vegan or halal diets?
No, it will not be possible to cater for vegans, nor to support halal or kosher requirements.
  • What is the cost of the events you mention in the site?
The guided tour of to Napoleon's villa will be complimentary. We are still investigating how to organize the boat tour at best, and knowing how many people are interested is an important part of it. The Sunday dinner is an informal event, we'll just go to a restaurant together and order what we want. Price is that of the wine & dine at the venue.
  • I'd like to join the visit to Napoleon's villa; how do I get there?
We will organize and take care of transportation based on how many people are interested and do not have a car or scooter. RSVP on the event so we know how many people we need to take care of.
  • I'd like to join the boat tour, but I cannot swim. Can I still go?
Yes, you can still enjoy the journey and stay on board if you like. Plus, boats must have lifesavers aboard by law, so if you feel like plunging in the water, you can do so in full safety.
  • How long does it take to hike up to Castle Volterraio?
It is a rather short hike with moderate difficulty. You should be able to complete in 40-60 minutes. However, given that the trail is a little steep, this might not be suitable for young children.
